Facebook TwitterD. Pauline Williams is a prolific writer and filmmaker with a natural talent for exploring raw human emotion with a philosophical nature. Having grown up in a strictly censored environment and then spending time as a teacher in the People's Republic of China, Pauline developed a deep frustration with censorship and the effect it has on a people. She has crafted her unique voice as a direct opposition to that. Working in documentary film, Pauline has discovered the profound change a visual aspect can have on a story. Her work as a documentary filmmaker has been focused on working with others writing and editing to tell the stories that the world would otherwise not hear. She is published as a novelist and a poet in addition to her work on film. She has worked as writer on the documentary feature 'Galacticos - 11 Kids, One Goal', advised and researched for the documentary project 'Darker Side of god' and has been Producer and Director for the musical documentary web series 'High Tea Adventures'. She has also been Director's assistant for the award-nominated documentary 'Malcolm X - A Day in Smethwick', and the award-winning documentary 'Boulevard Angels'. For her work, Pauline has been celebrated with the Library of Poetry Editor's Choice award and was also named an American Association of University Women Eleanor Roosevelt Named Gift Honoree. An avid Alley Cat Allie, Ms. Williams lives with a kitten rescue, Simba, as well as being Colony Caretaker advocating for Trap, Neuter, Return. She also actively advocates for Institutional Abuse Survivors.
