USE WHAT YOU HAVE: Making The Most Of Your God-Given Gifts And Abilities

by Richardson George

What a tragedy to live and also die on a pavement. This book presents a solution to pavement living. It addresses negative mindsets that keep people from all walks of life stuck on uncomfortable pavements of many kinds on which too many people die. Blind Bartimaeus was on such a pavement but refused to die there, so he used what he had to get off it (Mark 10:46 – 52). The book provides solutions to those who choose to overcome their negative mindsets and take the appropriate actions to get off their pavement. Pavement living is not limited to the poverty-stricken as is wrongly assumed. Many very wealthy people, even multi-millionaires live on pavements of depression, addiction etc. with too many checking out through suicide which is of grave concern. Among other things, this reality tells us that there is more to life than money. This fact also instructs us that pavement living is not a matter of not having money but quite often not having the things that money cannot buy. The thesis of this book is that God created each person with a purpose and consequently, He gives each of us the gifts and abilities we need to fulfill that purpose in cooperation with Him. In the words of the book, “God has created you to fulfil a specific purpose in your life and He has given to you exactly what you need to accomplish it. ” My encouragement to you is to use what you have to get off or stay off the pavements and live a God-pleasing and fulfilling life.

Living The Overcoming Life: Practical Principles for Overcoming Life’s Challenges

by Richardson George

This book is about what you can do. You can live an overcoming life. In fact, everybody can overcome and that certainly includes you. The truth is that God created you to be an overcomer. To believe otherwise is to concede defeat before you even begin the journey to the overcoming life. The journey of life certainly presents many challenges, some of which seem impassible and insurmountable. Many of life’s challenges are unexpected and most certainly unwelcome, yet they form part of the inescapable reality of the human experience. Hurdles and obstacles in life abound and are inevitable, but is it possible for you to overcome these unavoidable difficulties? This book presents practical principles for overcoming life’s many challenges drawn from the life of Jesus Christ who is indeed the quintessential (best example of an) overcomer. It addresses many real life issues such as rejection, misunderstanding, waiting, stagnation, betrayal, false accusations, negative thinking, a death threat and other issues that Jesus encountered and overcame. It is noteworthy that Jesus encountered various serious challenges from the womb to the tomb literally speaking. Nevertheless, He faced them head on and emerged an overcomer at the end of every encounter. To do this, Jesus did not draw on His divinity to overcome but utilized principles that we human beings can apply and experience similar results as He did. Indeed we can learn a great deal from the life of Jesus Christ as He faced trials and temptations common to man, but without succumbing to them as people often do. This book examines episodes from the life of Jesus Christ with the aim of extracting practical principles that we can apply when we face our own trials and temptations that test our ability to overcome. It is with full confidence in your ability to overcome life’s challenges that I present this book to you.

DEFYING THE STORMS IN YOUR LIFE: How to overcome the problems in your life and even make history

by Richardson George

Defying The Storms In Your Life is about overcoming life’s problems. This book explains how we can defy and overcome the unwanted storms and unavoidable problems we all experience in life. The entire book is a practical interpretation of Matthew 14:22 – 33. The book identifies timeless principles from Peter’s experience of walking on water in an unexpected life-threatening storm on the Sea of Galilee. Remarkably, Peter did not only walk on the water in the storm but also makes history in it. In fact, it was the storm that created the ideal opportunity for him to make history. The book expresses it this way - “It is extreme circumstances that provide the ideal opportunity for extraordinary creativity and for making history. ” In that same vein, the book extracts several characteristics of history makers exclusively from Peter’s experience. Interestingly, the book does not say anything about Peter sinking. Rather, it acknowledges and emphasizes the fact that Peter actually walked on water which is many times overlooked. Defying The Storms In Your Life explains clearly how we can apply these same principles from Peter’s experience of walking on water as we face storms in our own lives today. Instead of being destroyed by life’s storms as many others are, you can face your storm and defy it confidently and even use it to make history as Peter did. You will be pleasantly surprised and excited by some of the discoveries you will make as you read this inspirational, motivational and engaging book.
